Ok, so I got back from my 9 days in New York this Sunday and the whole big city high is finally wearing off. No more wandering in the ticker tape for me, it’s back to blogging as usual. But first, here is the final fill-in post from Jessica’s classy blog (located at www.ablogisatreat.com).
While in the city I was able to find time on the last day to participate in a food blog with my friends Jessica, Ian and Chris. I suggested we make Chinese dumplings since we had four people and that is a dish where it is actually helpful to have as many people as possible (since making dumplings always seems to involve pressganging as many people as possible into rolling and filling tiny dumplings).
Anyway, rather than write about it myself, Jessica kindly wrote a whole post about it for me here:
With an Isley-less addendum here:
And finally, from earlier that same day, a rather revealing pancake blog:
Not that there’s anything wrong with pancakes
Ok, that’s it for Jessica’s guest blogging, I’ll be back soon with detailed reviews of all the movies I saw in NYC. Bertolluci, Godard, Herzog and my new discovery, Peter Hutton–find out who ruled and who drooled in: “Damn, movies are expensive in NYC!”
While ablogisatreat remains, sadly, out of service, here are a bunch of pictures of the proceedings:
